What’s Fika living?
Fika is a Swedish concept, to take a moment to slow down with coffee and company. It means to appreciate the little things and take time to savour an experience.
Sounds simple, right? But how often do we actually do it?
We’re always rushing to work, to respond, to plan the next thing. But what if life isn’t meant to be lived in a hurry?
What if the best parts are the pauses?
That’s where Fika Homes began.
Not as a property. Not as a brand. But as a feeling.
A pause. A breath. A tiny rebellion against everything that tells you to move faster.
Our Origin
We’re a concept by eLiving Projects, built on the vision of Rahul Kumar.
The same mind behind Mudhouse Jibhi, Youfinder, Dreamers Fellowship, and Karyashala in Bir. Credited as the top 5 travel startups in India, by National Startup Awards in 2021 from the government of India.
Rahul has been curating and hosting experiences since 2017. As the founder of Experiential Living Projects, he’s built soulful spaces, not just to offer stays, but to curate experiences with slowness and stories. His mission is to blur the line between travel and transformation, and help others do the same.
Fika homes started in Gadagusain in 2022, where the idea of slow living first began. We took the same spirit to South Goa, in December of 2022 and after countless memories with travellers and dreamers we closed our home in Goa in 2025, and decided to solely focus on Gadagusain.
A place that still smells like forest, where trails aren’t on maps, and people still ask about your well-being and actually listen when you answer.
So we built slowly with wood, with hands, with help from locals.
And over time, Fika became a home not just for us, but for artists, entrepreneurs, dreamers, remote workers, lost souls, found friends, and everyone in between.

Growing with purpose.
What are we really here for?
To protect the spirit of this place.
To make space for the kind of travel that has more heart
than content for a reel.
To bridge the gap between locals and travellers,
not just by staying here, but by belonging here.
We’re trying to give back to the land that gave us so much.
Our clean-up drive, led with the community, was just one step.
We’re in it for the long haul with one small act at a time.
