About Gadagusain
Hidden deep in the Seraj Valley of Himachal, Gadagusain is a village that most maps haven’t caught up with yet, and we’re grateful for that. Located around 5 hours from Manali, 3 hours from Aut, and about an hour from Jibhi, this little-known gem sits at 7,500 ft, untouched by the rush of tourists and timelines. No honks. No queues. Just raw beauty, offbeat trails, terraced farms, and a village that still knows how to pause.
The village life here is slow and sincere. Locals will wave at you from their fields. Kids will giggle as they run past you. And if you’re lucky, someone might hand you a ripe apple straight from the tree. Gadagusain isn’t just a destination, it’s a reminder of how simple, grounded, and welcoming the world can be when left alone.

What is there to do here?
This isn’t the kind of place you plan an itinerary for. There are no must-visit checklists,
no tourist traps, no top-10 lists. Just quiet trails, unexpected views, and the joy of discovering something because you took the offbeat way.
Gadagusain is for those who prefer wandering to ticking boxes.
For those who believe a day well spent might just mean sitting by the river, losing track of time. Here’s what you could do here:

River-side Picnics
Just a short hike from Fika, you’ll find river spots perfect for picnics, naps, and doing absolutely nothing, except maybe dipping your toes in glacier-cold water.

Shatadhar
At 10,000 ft, Shatadhar Devi temple offers one of the most jaw-dropping 360° views of the valley. It’s where sunsets turn the sky into poetry, and the 23km drive there is an adventure in itself.

Waterfall Hike
A trail through an uninterrupted forest leads you to a beautiful hidden waterfall, You’ll pass chirping birds, rustling pines, and a herd of sheep showing you the way.

Offroading
For those who love the thrill of rugged paths and sharp turns, there are plenty of offbeat routes around here. Perfect for bikes, 4x4s, or just that restless urge to keep driving till the road disappears.

Hidden Trails
In Gadagusain, trails don’t need names. Wander in any direction, and you’re bound to find a path that opens up to pine valleys, wildflowers, or water bodies that feels like it was waiting for you.

Tungasi Dhar
Another sacred peak at 10,000 ft, is Tungasi Dhar, which is both a temple and a 360° viewpoint. Mornings here feel divine, evenings even more so. It's a short drive of an hour from fika homes.
